Radio Host

Jan 2018 - Dec 2019 | Elon, NC & Tampa, FL

A fun activity related to the communication field is my time as a college radio host for my show, “Kpop in Your Area!” I started my radio show during my first year in college. As the only host, I had to learn and manage all the radio equipment when my show was on the air. This includes but is not limited to, understanding the software and hardware and taking phone calls during the show. It was a blast, and I learned a ton about radio. I was exposed to many different pieces of equipment, including similar technology used in Apple Radio.

audio specialist

Sep 2017 - Feb 2019 | Elon, NC

One of the initial organizations I joined was a student-operated program named ETalk. I primarily worked behind the scenes, starting as a camera operator before transitioning to an audio specialist role. All the equipment used for the show meets industry standards. During my time there, we received an award of distinction from the Communicator Awards for our Halloween episode. Additionally, we were the first show to create an entirely Spanish-speaking special episode, and we later evolved into a live production.

Video editor

Spring 2018 | Elon, NC

I made a promo video of any kind. I decided to do a promo video on the CREDE, the Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education at Elon University.

I set up the lights, camera, and audio for all the interviews for the production of this video. During post-production, I edited the video in Adobe Premiere Pro.

First Adobe Project

I wanted to share my first Adobe project. Using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I created a magazine cover. Que? Magazine originated in a different class where we were tasked with developing a magazine. My magazine targets the Latino/a/x demographic.
